Where are today's creative acts and technologies of unmaking” that disrupt the exploitative mechanisms of capitalism? How do artists mobilise inventiveness, storytelling and mischief to produce a ‘poetry of dysfunction’?

With: Younes Baba Ali, Fayçal Baghriche, Gisela Carbajal Rodríguez and Felix Klee, Shannah Legrin, Adrian Melis, Amor Muñoz, Juan Obando & Yoshua Okón, Selma Selman, Maarten Vanden Eynde

Co-curated by Régine Debatty (WMMNA) and the iMAL team.

Visual for the exhibition. It's multilayered, so let me go layer by layer. On the very back is an old flyer of iMAL, upside down, with imal's url, schedules, text, logos, etc. Typical back of a flyer. The text areas are covered with blue masking tape, intentionally not cut and pasted in a super straight and clean way. As only text blocks are covered, there's still white areas of untaped paper. On top of that, OSP used one of their pen plotters to write the title "// sabotage", in big bold letters over the whole width of the flyer. It's filled with a patter of black diagonale lines.

If you're looking for a laundry service in Brussels, do not go with WOSH: These guys trashed my shirt. I gave them a brand new tailored button-up shirt for delicate washing and received it back with dark stains on the collar. Received a credit and gave them a second chance, but the same shirt came back with a damaged collar. After two rounds at WOSH -- never washed anywhere else -- this shirt is now ready for the trash. When I asked for compensation, they claimed it was a manufacturing defect.

@volts.wtf Yeah it's the same idiocy in my city where shop owners are consistently very wrong about how customers actually get to them. Like a study about this shopping area where they thought 65% came by care and in reality it was only 18%. Many small business owners seem to have no clue.

I am at a rather expensive conference today & was quite interested to hear Commissioner Teresa 's opening speech.

But that she opens her speech calling the "Capital of the respect for human beings" just 1 day after the entry into force of the EU's that essentially abolishes the fundamental right to and builds an infrastructure of abuse really makes me angry.

She then went on talking about contestable markets...

"Non stiamo prendendo in minima considerazione la chiusura di scuole, fabbriche, ospedali, né razionamenti e lockdown. Quello che è urgente è che a Bruxelles qualcuno si svegli, sospenda le regole ferree dei bilanci europei e il Green Deal e ci permetta di usare tutti i soldi che abbiamo per aiutare gli italiani in difficoltà. Il mio problema non è la mancanza di carburante, il mio problema sono i costi del diesel, della luce, del gas, della spesa del carrello". Così il vicepremier e ministro delle Infrastrutture Matteo Salvini a margine della visita a Tavarnuzze, al Florence American Cemetery in occasione della Festa della Liberazione, rispondendo a una domanda sulle scorte di carburante alla luce della guerra in Iran. "Noi possiamo mettere miliardi nelle tasche dei lavoratori e degli imprenditori italiani ma le regole europee oggi ce lo impediscono - ha proseguito Salvini - Quindi, per assurdo, oltre a questa stramaledetta guerra che conto finisca il prima possibile, il primo problema per le tasche degli italiani è a Bruxelles. Anche la riunione di ieri non mi sembra che abbia portato risultati".

We are not taking into consideration the closure of schools, factories, hospitals, or rationing and lockdowns. What’s urgent is that someone in Brussels wakes up, suspends the rigid rules of European budgets and the Green Deal, and allows us to use all the money we have to help Italians in difficulty. My problem isn’t a lack of fuel; my problem is the cost of diesel, electricity, gas, and the cost of groceries. That’s what Vice Premier and Infrastructure Minister Matteo Salvini said on the sidelines of a visit to Tavarnuzze, at the Florence American Cemetery on Liberation Day, responding to a question about fuel supplies in light of the war in Iran. “We can put billions into the pockets of Italian workers and entrepreneurs, but European rules today prevent us from doing so - Salvini continued - So, bizarrely, in addition to this damned war that I hope will end as soon as possible, the first problem for Italians’ pockets is in Brussels. Yesterday’s meeting doesn’t seem to have yielded any results either.”

I have updated the🇧🇪 🚂 Railway Diagram trilogy for 2026. These three diagrams are based on a 30° structure in order to fit the numerous radial lines to . After this finding the two sides came to an agreement that Israel would "substantially" increase access to civilians for food and medicine within the enclave to prevent the EU taking action for the breach.

A week later, on 18 May, a hundred thousand people held a march through The Hague with the same demands.

Geert Wilders wrote on X: "Today demo in Dhaag against Israel + for Hamas. Thousands of confused people draw a red line. I also draw a red line. Against terror and starving their own people by Hamas and for maximum destruction of their murderous infrastructure. And for Israel."
So the rest of the world sees this differently.

...For about a week now, we have been reading increasing criticism of Israeli and US policy in newspapers. , the and are suddenly threatening concrete action if Israel continues the blockade and war. Belgian rectors took the lead with the joint demand to suspend the Association Agreement with Israel.

Many will feel that all this does not go far enough. Indeed, that resolution can be criticised.

The decision by the European Foreign Affairs Council to first "investigate" whether or not Israel is in compliance with human rights before it wants to review the association agreement is also more than cynical.
